Studio Work 2 Analysis Name: Fabric Dresses Date: November, 30, 2011
Description: This was a series of 4 drawings together. I really enjoyed doing these four drawings. I did the 4 final drawings after 21 drawings. All of them were kind of the same process. All the dresses were fabric.
Strengths: My strength in this piece was the dresses and the faces, and hair. The dresses were all good. They had all details they needed to have. The face, I outlined with a sharpie, then colored with a very thin paint brush to add the paint. The hair, I combined black, brown, and yellow paint to make the hair relistic.
Weaknesses: My weakness in the 4 drawings was that none of them had a back ground. They were either drawn on black or white plain paper.
Media- Process: I used paint, pencil, sharpie, and fabric. I used the paint draw the body, and I also used some in the hair and face. I started by drawing everything with pencil. I did the eyes with sharpie to show details. The dresses were all made out of pieces of fabric and glued on to the paper.
Development for next piece: I will continue with drawing dresses, and using the same media, ( fabric on paper).
Critique: Over all, I think this was a good piece. I was a lot better than Studio Work 1, and the fabric was a good idea to do.
